Spain's Alvaro Morata Leads with Three Goals
With the UEFA Euro 2016 now on the Round of 16 phase, star players from each team have also displayed immense skills and talents on the field through scoring, attack and defense.

1. Alvaro Morata (Spain, 3 goals)
The 23-year-old forward scored two goals during their 3-0 win versus Turkey last Friday. His efforts secured Spain a spot in the last 16 Round, proving that they remain a strong group in the competition.
He said that working as a team helps Spain score goals and win games. "The most important thing about this group is the atmosphere and that is reflected on the pitch," Morata added.
2. Gareth Bale (Wales, 3 goals)
Welsh forward Gareth Bale is driven by his aim to make a legacy for this year's UEFA Euro Cup. He mentioned that his goal from the beginning was to make it to major tournaments and challenge himself to be a better player.
"We are doing that now and I think we are thriving and everybody is waking up and seeing what Welsh football is about," he said, adding that Wales want to continue their great start in the tournament.
3. Dimitri Payet (France , 2 goals)
The midfielder said in an article on the UEFA website that he focused himself on contributing goals for the team since the beginning of the tournament. Payet said he felt confident and played without pressure, allowing him to perform well during their matches.
4. Ivan Perišić (Croatia, 2 goals)
The 27-year-old Croatian footballer has made a name for this year's tournament scoring two goals and one assist for the three games he has played with the team. Aside from being part of the Croatia football team, Perisic also plays for the Italian club Inter.
5. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal, 2 goals)
The Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo broke another record and that is the most number of appearances (128) in the UEFA Euro tournament for last Wednesday's game versus Hungary. He is also the top-scorer for the tournament, making 26 goals since he started playing in 2004. These achievements are just some in his long list of awards like the three Ballons d'Or he got and UEFA championships won.
