Tornado Hits Bryan, College Station Area in Texas: No Injuries, Deaths Reported; Videos and Photos Flood Social Media
Several news outlets and social media accounts were reporting tornado activity at the Bryan/College Station area in Brazos County, Texas Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2016.
A twister reportedly touched ground after noon-time CT and according to News Channel 25 crew, the tornado damaged several properties including buildings, homes and vehicles.
So far there have been no reports of injuries or deaths by the local College Station police but the region is on watch for flash floods until 3:30 p.m.. No other tornadoes have been reported as of publish time.

City of Bryan Announcements:
From Bryan ISD: All children in Bryan ISD are safe and there is no reported damage due to storms. The tornado warning has been lifted. Students will return home if it is safe to do so. Buses will return to schools if routes are not safe. Schools will call parents if their child returns to the campus.
The City of Bryan has announced that the following roads have been closed due to flooding:
- 1100 Blk S. Main St
- Villa Maria between Cavitt and Texas
- Carson/Orman, Mumford between Saunders &2818
In addition, the city is cautioning the public to avoid contact with downed power lines and to report any damage.

City of College Station Announcements:
The City of College Station has announced that the following roads have been closed due to flooding:
- Southwest Pkwy at Timber
- Southwest Pkway at Laura
- Holleman Dr at Glade
The city is discouraging any type of travel as the floods continue.
