Toronto Blue Jays vs Minnesota Twins - 2016 Major League Baseball Preview, Live Stream and Start Time
They have a four-game series.
Battling in their first of four scheduled games in the series, the Toronto Blue Jays travel to the Target Field to face the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball.
The matchup is on May 19, 2016 at 8:10 PM ET.
While the Blue Jays are having a slow start to the season, they are still having a better series compared to what the Twins are having so far in their campaign.
Already 39 games into the season, the Twins have only 10 wins so far and it sees them last in the American League – Central.
They are ways behind their rivals in the division, and losing three straight games is definitely not helping their cause.
At the moment, the Twins are 2-8 in their last 10 games and desperately need to get a big win.
Their last series was against the Detroit Tigers and they actually started the series relatively well despite a loss as they scored eight runs.
However, the last two games, they only combined for five scores so suffer heavy defeats against Detroit.
Joe Mauer leads the team in batting average with .274 but definitely needs more help. Byung-ho Park has nine home runs so far, while Miguel Sano has 18 Runs Batted In to lead the team this year.
On the other hand, the Blue Jays are also in a bit of a dip as they are 19-23 so far this season and are only good enough for fourth in the tough American League – East.
They are only better than the New York Yankees and have the longest active losing streak in the league at the moment with five.
Toronto were thoroughly dominated by the Tampa Bay Rays in their three-game series, with the Blue Jays only scoring three or less scoring runs in those games, while they allowed a total of 31 in three games for the Rays.
They are also trying to turn things around and despite having good players like Josh Donaldson, Michael Saunders and Edwin Encarnacion, they are having trouble finishing off games.
