And it should be a tough way for them at home as they face a Rangers team who have started well this season and find themselves second in the Metropolitan Division.
Facing the Rangers is always tough as they have a very dependable defensive line spearheaded by goalie legend Henrik Lundqvist.
However, the Maple Leafs should still try and find a way to get past this and get the points that they need as they are clearly struggling at this point of the season.
This is the final scheduled meeting between the two teams in the regular season as they have already battled twice earlier in the year, resulting in two wins for New York.
In the first meeting, the Rangers immediately stamped their dominance with a 1-0 lead that carried until the third period.
Mats Zuccarello proved to be too much for the Maple Leafs as he scored a hat-trick to give the Rangers a 3-1 victory.
Derick Brassard was also excellent as he had three assists in the win.
In their second match-up, the Maple Leafs tried to adjust and got an early lead, but immediately lost it once the Rangers got their groove on the ice. It eventually ended in a 4-3 win for the Rangers at the Garden and now they are looking for a season sweep.
