Toshiba Satellite Radius 11: Specs, Features, Price
It looks like two-in-one hybrid gadgets are about to have their moment as many people preferably want to get the most out of their money's worth. Why just have a smartphone, when one can now have a phablet (phone/tablet)? And how about a laptop that doubles as a tablet?
Nowadays, not only does a gadget have to look good, but if it can combine practicality with versatility, and if it can offer a good experience for work and play, then it's well worth it. Toshiba is very much up to meeting these requirements as it has joined in to compete in the hybrid market as the company launched the Satellite Radius 11, a convertible hybrid-laptop similar to the Lenovo Yoga line.
At first glance, the Satellite Radius looks like a typical laptop, but it actually offers both laptop and tablet functionality. It has a hinge that allows the screen to be folded back into other positions such as Laptop mode, Tablet mode, Tabletop (folded flat), Presentation (propped into "tent" position) and Audience (touch screen show, and keyboard folded back as a base).

The Satellite Radius measures 0.86 x 11.4 x 7.8 inches and weighs 2.9 pounds. It has an Intel Celeron processor which does not need a built-in cooling fan, which results to the gadget's sleek design. The 11.6-inch screen has a resolution of 1,366 x 768, which is a lot lower than that of the Yoga line or the Dell XPS 11, but the display is bright and clear.
For storage, the Satellite Radius has a 500GB hard drive. It also comes with pre-installed software like 30-day free trials of McAfee Live Safe 2014 and Microsoft Office 365. It has free apps like Adobe Reader, Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, and iHeart Radio among others, and it also has Toshiba's own apps such as BookPlace and App Place.
The Satellite Radius is priced at $350, an affordable price for a great quality hybrid-laptop.
