Tracy Morgan News: Comedian Hospitalized Again
Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan was hospitalized in Denver, Colo. this past weekend, making it the second hospital visit the "30 Rock" star has had in the past four months.
Morgan was hospitalized briefly Saturday, citing extreme dehydration due to a severe case of the flu. The comedian had to cancel his standup performance in the city due to his sickness.
Morgan's representative told Gossip Cop that Morgan "is fine. He had the flu before he left [for the trip]."
During the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January Morgan collapsed due to "a combination of exhaustion and altitude" after he was acting disoriented and loopy, according to eyewitness reports.
The Inquisitr reported that Morgan was led by wheelchair through the Denver International Airport Sunday due to his fragile condition. He promptly boarded a flight to NYC where he is currently resting before his next episode of "30 Rock."
"Feeling a little better ... had to call in sick on Saturday. I'm sorry I had to cancel. Love you Denver. I'll make it up to you," Morgan tweeted Monday.
Fans of the funnyman are extra sensitive to Morgan's hospitalizations, especially because he received a kidney transplant in winter 2010, and kept the surgery private from his fans for several months.
Morgan stars on the hit NBC show "30 Rock," where he plays the emotionally unstable, egotistical actor Tracy Jordan alongside fellow comedic geniuses Tina Fey, who used to be a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and actor Alec Baldwin.
Morgan, 42, was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996.
