On Sunday morning, a YWAM team of health workers was on the way to church service in a van with other local YWAMers when the local accident occurred.

Two from YWAM in Perth, Australia were killed; six were serving with YWAM Nigeria.

The YWAM team was composed of staff and students from several nations and was part of a “Birth Attendant School” run by YWAM Perth in Australia, with the outreach phase of the training being held in Nigeria.

Leaders from YWAM Perth are on their way to Nigeria and request prayer for the healing and comfort for the injured, their families, and to make the best arrangements necessary to move forward in the wake of the loss.

YWAM currently operates in more than 149 countries with a staff of over 16,000 and began in 1960 with the main focus of getting youth into short-term mission work.
