'Transformers 5' Official Title Revealed, Isabela Moner Confirms Role in Film

Good news for all the fans of the "Transformers" movie series. The fifth installment of the franchise is moving forward as Paramount has already announced its official title. According to a report by IGN, the film studio revealed the title via a short animated first look that is posted in the film's official Instagram account.

Opening with a close up of Optimus Prime's robot face, the animation then shifted to present the title which is "Transformers: The Last Knight." Fans have expected a subtitle to come along with the upcoming sequel but many are confused as to what it pertains to. There are some who predicts that the title is something specific to the movie itself. It's also said that it could refer to either the Autobots or Decipticons.

Whatever the film could be about, it's something to look forward to as Director Michael Bay will be returning, as well as "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star Mark Wahlberg who will reprise his role as Cade Yeager. Another cast member that is confirmed already to play a part in the film is 14-year old Nickelodeon actress Isabela Moner. As detailed in ComicBook, she announced her involvement via a snippet video through her Twitter account.

The source also mentioned that she is expected to play a lead character named Izabella, who is described as a street-savvy tomboy who grew up in the care of a foster home. She crossed paths with a small transformer and they became friends. She will then meet Wahlberg's character at some point in the movie and together they embark on a journey packed with robots. None has been confirmed so far though so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt. Collider also noted that comedian Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors) has been added in the cast as well.

Production will commence already on June 6. The Wrap reported that Steven Spielberg will be involved in the film as executive producer while Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman will be joining in as one of the writers. "Transformers: The Last Knight" will premiere on June 23, 2017.
