Meanwhile, there has been several news dictating that the franchise will present a standalone spin-off titled "Beast Wars." According to Akiva, this will pave the way for his plan to create an episode-type format for the upcoming franchise, similar to Marvel films. There are also speculations that the franchise will soon have an animated prequel that will explore the history of the Cybertron during a civil war.

Because of that, the upcoming "Transformers 5" will be decided into two parts. The first part will focus on Mark Wahlberg's character named Cade Yaeger and the Autobots living on Earth. The second part will be centered around Optimus Prime and the Quintessons.

Fans of the franchise can expect that the story of the Transformers will soon be expanding, which will pave way for a more established universe. This also opens the opportunity for actors such as Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox to return to the franchise.

"Transformers 5" is expected to release in theaters by 2017.
