Trinity Baptist College Announces New President, CEO
Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Fla., has concluded its search for a new president and CEO with the selection of longtime Board of Trustees member Mac Heavener.
In an announcement this week, Trinity Baptist said Heavener's leadership capabilities "will serve both our students and faculty well."
"He brings to Trinity vast leadership and operational experience. He has over 40 years of experience in real estate, including 20 years at ERA, the international real estate company, where he ultimately served as the President and Co-CEO. His contributions at ERA helped the company grow to over 3,000 offices, operating in 23 countries," the school reported.
In coordination with the chancellor, Tom Messer, Heavener will be expected to cast vision for Trinity Baptist College and institute a strategic plan, which will bring greater focus to the quality of the students' education and experience.
"With Chancellor Tom Messer, President Mac Heavener Jr. and Senior Vice President Matthew Beemer, Trinity Baptist College is bringing a dynamic combination of pastoral, academic and leadership experience to its administrative team," the school stated.
Founded in 1974 by Trinity Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist College is an independent Baptist ministry accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). Its degree programs are reportedly designed to prepare students for all phases of Christian ministry.
