'True Blood' Stars' Twins Doing Well After 'Touch-and-Go' Birth

"True Blood" stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin are thrilled at the progress their premature twins, Charlie and Poppy, are making. The twins turned one on Saturday and Moyer spoke with the press about their development and the fear he and Paquin had when the babies were born.

"It was all so amazing and [they] had a tough start," Moyer told the press. "They were early and it was touch and go there for a while, and so anything is amazing. I was just saying they are spitting up their first solid food. It's fantastic."

The couple decided to keep information about their twins from the press, perhaps in light of their prematurity. Paquin and Moyer were seen frequently visiting the babies at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, but they did not reveal the babies' genders or names until they were nine months old.

Moyer accidentally gave away the babies' names in an interview with E! News around Father's Day when he mentioned that he planned to celebrate the holiday by "hanging out with Charlie and Poppy."

Since then, the twins have been seen in public and are, according to Moyer, developing in a very healthy manner, which is a relief to both him and Paquin.

"It does consume your every thought. Sometimes you cope with it very well and sometimes you don't. And sometimes you wake up and you're desperately terrified, you're so tired you can't do anything, so you just get through it like anyone else," Moyer said. "There's still things every now and then, but they're pretty great."

Of course, like any parents, Moyer and Paquin don't want their babies to grow up too fast and are enjoying watching them develop … and their freedom for now.

"They're nuts," Moyer joked about the babies. "I think Anna's very excited about them walking and I'm like, 'Just wait. Let them …' Our lives are over once that happens!"
