4. Calls Zelensky a 'dictator' who played the US 'like a fiddle'

In a lengthy Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump criticized U.S. policy regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict in addition to taking issue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's handling of domestic policy in his own country.

"A modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelensky, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn't be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and 'TRUMP,' will never be able to settle," he wrote.

"The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe's money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back," Trump lamented. "On top of this, Zelensky admits that half of the money we sent him is 'MISSING.' He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing [former President Joe] Biden 'like a fiddle.'"

The war began in February 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine's territory to back two separatist regions that have been warring with the Ukrainian government since 2014

After referring to Zelensky as a "Dictator without Elections," Trump insisted that his administration was "successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia." He maintained, "Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelensky probably wants to keep the 'gravy train' going."

Trump concluded by stating, "I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died."

During a press conference on Wednesday, Trump remarked that "Zelensky's at 4 percent" approval in a poll.

Zelensky responded to that allegation by claiming that it was "disinformation" that was "coming from Russia." Some polls show a majority of Ukrainians have confidence in him. While Zelensky highlighted his "great respect" for Trump, he proclaimed that the president "unfortunately lives in this disinformation space."
