This past week was busy for President Donald Trump as he worked to attract faith voters ahead of the midterms, appointing Evangelical leaders to key religious freedom oversight positions and meeting with spiritual leaders from one of the world's oldest Christian churches.

Additional developments unfolded in the ongoing litigation surrounding the future of the Kennedy Center and the Trump administration’s efforts to crack down on fraud. Meanwhile, the U.S. Census Bureau released new reports containing statistics about median household income and the poverty rate in the U.S.
