Turkey Crashes Through Restaurant Window on Thanksgiving
A wild live turkey has reportedly crashed into a restaurant in Pennsylvania in an ironic Thanksgiving twist.
According to AP, the 15 pound turkey flew into the Eat’n Park in Penn Hills on Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was closed for the holidays when it happened.
Penn Hills police Officer Bernard Sestili, who responded to the alarm which the turkey set off, told WTAE-TV that it did not survive the impact of the crash. He says the turkey was not thrown, but rather flew through the window and landed on the floor of the dining room.
Sestili thinks the fowl might have been roosting in a nearby tree when “it got up this morning and went for his morning flight and flew into the window.”
Another turkey flew into glass pane earlier this week. Blair Belcher, 56, of Bellingham, was putting up Christmas lights when a turkey crashed through his window.
Apparently, the turkey got scared of a neighbor’s dog and flew straight into the window - which proved fatal. Belcher buried the turkey and did not eat it for Thanksgiving.
