Turning to God in the Midst of Tragedy
Thousands of Christians gathered across Southeast Asia in celebration of the first Sunday service of the New Year, despite the tragic earthquake-tsunami that hit only one week ago, Jan. 2, 2004.
According to Christian relief agencies, many of whom have already dispatched personnel and supplies to the 11-country region, the tragedy requires countless prayers and offerings by the millions of Christians in America. Denomination-affiliated relief agencies also note tragedies open new doors and opportunities to missions and outreach.
