Two Dead on Norwegian Dawn Cruise Ship
A 67-Year-Old Woman and 23-Year-Old Man Found Dead
Two are dead aboard a Norwegian Cruise Lines ship which has just docked in Boston. The ship with a total passenger capability of 2,225, The Norwegian Dawn, had called Massachusetts State Police reporting the deaths.
One of the Passengers has been identified as a 67-year-old woman, the other is a 23-year old man, according to Fox Television. There has been no report of the cause of deaths for the two passengers.
The ship has pulled into the Black Falcon cruise terminal at 6:30 a.m. EDT.
According to the Suffolk County, Massachusetts District Attorney's Office, State Police detectives, along with uniformed troopers are now at Boston’s Black Falcon Cruise Terminal with representatives of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Law enforcement officials met the Norwegian Dawn, which docked at about 6:30 a.m. this morning, after two deaths were reported onboard yesterday before the cruise ship’s arrival in Massachusetts’ waters.
The 67-year-old female’s death does not appear suspicious; the 23-year-old male’s death is under investigation because the cause and manner are unknown. There is no early indication that it was the result of criminal activity.
Because his death occurred at sea beyond state lines, the death investigation may be led by federal authorities.
