'Two Worlds' Game News: 'Two Worlds 3' Announced, 'Two Worlds 2' To Have Two DLCs

TopWare Interactive has confirmed earlier speculations that the "Two Worlds 3" is underway while the current "Two Worlds 2" is coming up with a new DLC and a major update. While the announcement didn't really come as a surprise, as the first "Two Worlds" was a great success, having sold 10 million copies combined, it may take a while before gamers can lay their hands on "Two Worlds 3."

The planned sequel is just on its concept stage, according to TopWare, and will take 36 months before it can finally come into fruition. While waiting for the release of "Two Worlds 3," though, fans of the "Two Worlds" can relish the fact that "Two Worlds 2" is getting a major engine overhaul. Apart from the said major changes in the current "Two Worlds" game, which will serve as the launching point of "Two Worlds 3," "Two Worlds" fans can also look forward to the release of the game's DLCs, which will introduce three additional maps and two single-player expansions.

The first of the expansion is titled "Call of the Tenebrae." This expansion pack will follow the adventures of the hero as he returns to Antaloor and witnesses the murder of DarPha. The culprits behind the killing are members of the new tribe introduced in the game, "The Chosen." This rat-like new tribe is repulsive in more ways than one and possesses a powerful new magic. It is the hero's task to avert the plan of the tribe to wipe out every living creature in Antaloor.

The new engine will enable the gamers to experience a different kind of Antaloor in its upcoming DLC expansion and a "much higher level of character landscape detail" TopWare promised.

Meanwhile, there are no available details on the other DLC, "Shattered Embrace" as of this writing.

"Call of the Tenebrae" is expected to become available at the latter part of quarter two.
