Ubisoft Announces 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate' Xbox One, PS4 and PC Releases (VIDEO)
Ubisoft has recently announced the release dates for its upcoming "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Following its May 12 unveiling, France-based game developer Ubisoft has confirmed the schedule of release of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," the ninth main installment of its historical action adventure series, "Assassin's Creed."
The upcoming title, which is set in 19th century Victorian London, will be launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23 and for PC a month later on November 19.
The storyline will focus on twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they pit themselves against the established order of the Templars during the Industrial Revolution era of 1868. Quick-tempered Jacob specializes in hand-to-hand combat, while his intelligent twin, Evie, relies on stealth and wit.
The third-person open world video game will also depict organized crime as it existed in Victorian London, and introduces new ways of traveling, refined combat, and a number of stealth methods.
The Frye twin assassins will be using brass knuckles, a cane sword, a compact revolver, and a curved Nepalese kukri knife to attack multiple enemies under faster-paced combat action.
They will also be travelling using new methods Ubisoft is debuting in the game, which include a rope launcher to rappel up and down structures and can double as a zip line to travel across one building to the next.
Travel by carriages and trains will still be a staple, as well as close combat and parkour chases atop them.
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" is geared to encompass a larger environment compared to its predecessor, "Assassin's Creed Unity," which was set in Paris. Players can expect to traverse Westminster, London, the Strand, Lambeth, Southwark, and Whitechapel.
There will also be side missions included in the game that bring the main story of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate's" struggle for power into a cohesive whole.
