UFC 205 Fight Card, Tickets and Latest News: Here's Why Dana White Thinks Ronda Rousey is a Bigger Star than Conor McGregor
The stage is set for another blockbuster MMA dogfight as Conor McGregor, the current featherweight champion, is trying to accomplish an unprecedented feat by winning two belts in multiple divisions simultaneously. But, standing in his way is the lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez.
The pair will figure in a scuffle come Nov. 12 to headline UFC 205 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The promoters are hoping they can surpass the previous pay-per-view (PPV) buys and set a new record for the franchise. To date, the highest-grossing PPV in the UFC was garnered by the rematch fight between Conor and Nate Diaz back on Aug. 20. 2016 for UFC 202.
Judging the PPV windfall he has strung together recently, it could be safe to say that Conor is currently UFC's top draw. But, is he the brightest star within the UFC galaxy as well? While MMA fans will definitely have various takes on the debate, Dana White has his own pick.
When asked during an interview on Hot 97 radio station in New York about who he regards as the bigger star between Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, the outspoken promoter took the side of the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion.
"Not even close. By far the biggest star," were White's exact words. He cited the incident in Rio de Janeiro when Rousey went up against the Brazilian Bethe Correia in 2015. He said that Brazilians are very passionate people when it comes to supporting their local talents and witnessing them cheer for Rousey over Correia was something he never thought of ever happening.
It also didn't hurt Rousey's case because she has a bigger following outside of the MMA circles having starred in some Hollywood films like the "Furious 7″ and "The Expendables 3".

Meanwhile, UFC 205 will also feature another titanic collision for the right to be hailed as the UFC Welterweight king between defending champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson. The latter is known for his kickboxing skills, having won multiple titles in the world stage. The bout will be the co-main event for the night.
The ladies will also be joining the party with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz duking it out for the strawweight title. It will be a showdown between two undefeated Polish fighters, with Jedrzejczyk defending her title.
The undercards also include welterweight bouts between Donald Cerrone and Kelvin Gastelum, and between Lyman Good and Belal Muhammad; and a lightweight bout between Thiago Alves and Jim Miller. There will be also middleweight bouts between Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans, Tim Boetsch against Rafael Natal, and Chris Weidman battling it out with Yoel Romero. A lightweight bout is also set between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Johnson; while a featherweight bout will go between Frankie Edgar and Jeremy Stephens. The women's bantamweight division will also showcase their skills in a bout between Carmouche and Katlyn Chookagian; while the woman's welterweight division will have a bout between Miesha Tate and Raquel Pennington.
