UFC News 2015: Frank Mir Tells Story About Teammate; Miesha Tate Says Holm Is Rousey's 'Kryptonite'
Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir shared a story of how an old teammate of his ran after a critic in their gym while naked. Former title contender Miesha Tate, on the other hand, described Holly Holm as Ronda Rousey's 'kryptonite'.
A 14-year veteran of professional mixed martial arts, Mir has had the privilege of training with some of the elite fighters in the game.
In a report by Bloody Elbow, he told a comical story of how one of them chased after a critic in their gym while naked. As Mir tells the story, a "blue-belt level guy" was critiquing the said fighter's performance. It was believed the elite fighter felt slighted by the comments. Mir described him as a "legitimate guy at the top his game" at the time.

"He overheard the discussion on his 'lack of ability,'" Mir narrated. "So when he stepped out of the shower, he didn't take the time to get dressed, 'cause he was angry."
It was later revealed that the said fighter was Phil Baroni, who did admit to it through Twitter.
"Yeah, I was crazy when I was a kid," Baroni responded when asked for confirmation.
Meanwhile, two-time women's bantamweight title contender Miesha Tate continues to share her thoughts about the shocker at UFC 193, between former champion Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm.
In a report by Bloody Elbow, Tate admitted that she was "pretty shocked" with how the fight unfolded. Having fought Rousey twice, "Cupcake" said she was surprised by Holm.
"I'm all about styles make fights and she has the style to beat Ronda," Tate said in the report. "She is Ronda's kryptonite and she executed it perfectly."
Holm's stand-up game is indeed a highly touted one, having been an 18-time world champion in boxing (33-2, with nine victories by knockout).
She also had a short stint in kickboxing, where she held a record of 2-1, with both victories by knockout. She is trained by renowned striking coach Mike Winklejohn, out of the famed Jackson-Winklejohn MMA Academy in her native town of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
