Staduim Events Game Auction News: Ultra-Rare NES Game Reaches $40,000 Bid on eBay
There is a special auction on eBay that thrilled gamers all over the world.
Last week, one of most rare video games in the world was auctioned at the starting price of $5,000. The NES game Staduim Events is a limited edition that was released in 1987. When it was released it came along with it the Family Fun Fitness pad, which did not become a craze after a few months.
The bundle was a rare auction on its own but what makes it even more classic is the fact that it was still sealed in the factory cover.
Additionally, the seller confirms that the game, still on top-working condition, has been verified by the Video Game Authority.
The seller also packed it in a so-called "archival" case to protect it from UV rays, prolonging its durability.
According to game historians, the value of the game is really high because there were only 200 copies of this game that were sold to the public. Nowadays, there are less than 20 copies existing.
The seller was asked why he decided to sell it now even though it was already sought out for during the 90s.
"Felt it was the right time to sell this item," the seller said.
He also mentioned that he previously worked for Nintendo for "22 years and do not believe they have any interest in having this game … they are welcome to bid on it if they do want it!"
The auction has already reached $22,100 after 10 bids. Right now, on its third day at the auction, it has already reached a staggering $99,850 with 81 bids.
