UMC Pittsburgh Conference Begins

Some 1,000 international delegates to the 10-million member United Methodist Church gathered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the quadrennial General Assembly, Tuesday, April 27, 2004. The delegates will be voting on some 1,600 overtures and laws that will determine the future of the second largest denomination in the United States for the next four years.
