'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Finally Gone Gold, Arriving in May
Gamers who have been waiting for the "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" can finally celebrate as the game is all set to be released soon. According to a report by HNGN, Naughty Dog has announced that the game has finally gone gold, which means after months of waiting for it, it is finally completed and is ready to hit store shelves.
"We are very happy to say that 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' has gone gold today!" Naughty Dog wrote in their official Facebook page. "Congrats to everyone who worked on the game!!! Now the wait to put it in your hands begins..."
The game will all be ready by May 10 as copies of the discs have headed to the manufacturers already for mass production. This also means that fans will no longer be hearing delayed news from the developer. VG 24/7 reported that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was announced back at E3 2014 for a 2015 release.
But since former directors Amy Hennig and Justin Richmond left Naughty Dog, the game had to be writeen all over again. The Santa Monica-based video game developer had to announce a delay, moving the schedule to spring 2016. Sony and Naughty Dog initially set a March 18 release date.
However, they had to change plans again due to development issues, which lead to a release date of April 26. And while the fans thought the delay saga was over because of the stress test held, Naughty Dog announced again that the game will have to be pushed back to May 10. But the wait is all worth it as it is finally finished and will be available worldwide soon.
For those who are not in the loop yet, the game follows the main character Nathan Drake, who is described as a retired fortune hunter. It's been years since his last adventure and this time around, he returns into the world of thieves.
