'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' News, Updates: King of the Hill Multiplayer Mode Launches Today
Naughty Dog is arguably one of the best studios out there that produce some of the most renowned titles, and "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" comes out somewhere at the top. Despite being a great experience already, owners of the game are treated to more exquisite gameplay with the addition of new modes and a lot more.
In a PlayStation blog post, Naughty Dog's senior communications manager Scott Lowe has announced that a free downloadable content (DLC) arrives today, March 17, adding more reasons to play the game. At the top of the list is its new multiplayer mode dubbed "King of the Hill."
In this newly added permanent game mode, two teams will have to race toward the score limit by taking control of certain capture points that will rotate around the map. The fact that the designated points change in location adds to the challenge, prompting players to use everything they know to gain the upper hand.
That's not all. Victory is only assured when one captures what they call the Victory Hill. When the score limit is reached, the winning team needs to take control of the said hill to declare its triumph. If the losing team gets there first, they get a second chance at winning.
Aside from the much-awaited multiplayer mode, players will also get three new weapons, namely the INSAS and Type-95 long guns, and a scoped competition pistol. A Savage Starlight character skin will also be made available, adding to the options on how to personalize player pieces in the multiplayer arena.
It can be recalled that the last update for the title brought a new survival mode, testing a player's mettle against hordes of enemies. New weapons and skins were also added, so the upcoming DLC further expands the already rich gameplay of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
