'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Trailer: Watch It at 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Premiere
Sony has revealed via its social media account that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's" trailer will appear during the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The trailer will run in select theaters only. But with no detail on which theaters the "Uncharted 4" trailer will appear in, moviegoers will have to come early and keep their eyes peeled as they could be in for a surprise on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opening weekend.
The official Sony PlayStation Twitter handle tweeted: "See the brand new Uncharted 4 trailer at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere weekend in select US theaters!"
The announcement came with a new "Uncharted 4" image. The picture shows the series' protagonist Nathan Drake desperately after an ancient coin while holding a pistol in his left hand. In the background is the silhouette of a person in front of a fire at the base of some old building. The image may be a frame from the new trailer, says GameSpot, but this is not confirmed.
The upcoming game's closed beta recently wrapped up. The beta ran from Dec. 3 and ended on Dec. 13. Only those who purchased "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" were able to participate in it.
The closed beta offered participants a chance to try everything in the upcoming game before it releases. "Uncharted 4's" beta featured new artifacts, in-game acquisition, two maps, one mode, the new sidekick feature, and a slew of customization options.
As for those hoping for an open beta, Arne Meyer, Naughty Dog's director of communication, said in a comment over at the PlayStation Blog that there are "no plans" for that. It's likely that the closed beta is the final beta for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
The game is the last installment of the "Uncharted" series. Naughty Dog is bringing Nathan Drake's globetrotting adventures to a close next year. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has been confirmed for release on March 18, 2016 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
