United States vs Peru: Watch International Friendly, Live Stream, Start Time, Preview
Both teams are recently making a return after losses in their respective tournaments.
The United States Men's National Team take to the pitch for the first time in more than a month as they host Peru in an international friendly.
To take place on September 4, 2015, kick-off is at 7:00 PM ET and will be held at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
This is the first time the United States will have a match since crashing out of the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition.
During that time, they were heavily favoured to win the title in the continent but fell short as they lost to Jamaica in the semi-finals and eventually lost the third-place match to Panama in a penalty shootout.
During the competition, the United States won close games and many questioned whether they were up to par in their standards.
However, they tried to erase those doubts with a big 6-0 win over Cuba to move on in the semis of the tournament.
Unfortunately, they suffered a big loss to Jamaica after early goals put them behind 2-0. They eventually lost 2-1 and settled for a match against Panama for third place.
In that battle, Clint Dempsey scored the equaliser that sent the game to extra time and eventually penalties but the United States failed to convert their last three attempts to shatter their title aspirations.
Meanwhile, Peru are also making a comeback for the first time since their Copa America appearance in Chile.
The team reached the semi-finals after beating Bolivia in the quarters.
They drew against the hosts and lost 2-1 to the eventual champions and this is their first time to collectively take the pitch in a match again.
After their battle against the United States, Peru will take on Colombia before taking part in the World Cup qualifiers for South Africa.
