US Electoral 2016 Updates: Hillary Clinton Up by +5 Points According to National Poll Average, Reuters/Ipsos Poll Show Clinton and Trump Neck and Neck
US electoral 2016 updates reveal Hillary Clinton up on all national polls while recent Reuters/Ipsos poll show the two neck and neck but with almost all groups favoring Clinton.
According to the national average of the latest presidential polls, Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton got 46.7 percent, while Republican candidate Donald Trump has 41.7 percent. Clinton is up +5.0 points.
General election polls coming from different media groups and surveys were included in getting the polling average. Among these were from Monmouth (Clinton 49, Trump 42), LA Times/USC (Clinton 42, Trump 45), NBC News/SM (Clinton 48, Trump 42) and Reuters/Ipsos (Clinton 42, Trump 45).
According to the Reuters/Ipsos poll, 8.8 percent of the respondents would vote for other candidates than Clinton and Trump, 7.5 percent refused to answer, while 4.9 percent would not vote. When it comes to gender, Clinton and Trump are still neck to neck. Male voters prefer Clinton while the Democratic candidate is also popular among female voters.
Clinton still leads among whites with more than 7 percentage points. Clinton leads a high percentage margin among black voters, according to the recent Reuters/Ipsos polls.
Trump's last-minute Mexico trip
In line with the recent poll results, candidates are doing their best to prepare last-minute campaign projects to improve their leads.
Reports say that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump plans to have a last-minute meeting with President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico. This is said to happen tomorrow in Mexico City. This very important meeting is to take place before Trump makes a speech to address his immigration policies in Phoenix.
