US Open Tennis 2012 Schedule: Watch Online Live Stream Novak Djokovic vs David Ferrer, Serena Williams vs Victoria Azarenka
The U.S. Open tennis tournament 2012 continues on Sunday with Novak Djokovic vs. David Ferrer set to resume following Saturday's postponement. Play will resume at 10 a.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
The men's semi final match will resume with Ferrer leading the first set 5-2, after the world number 4 coped better with the extreme weather conditions on Saturday from the opening of play. Djokovic found it more difficult to adapt and his serve was broken, as he complained to officials, requesting that they be taken off.
New York was hit by a tornado warning yesterday as a number of twisters were seen touching down across Queens and Brooklyn. The extreme wind conditions caused all sorts of troubles for the tennis players as they simply attempted to keep control of their shots rather than go all out for winners.
The weather forecast for Sunday is much better and should see the men's semi final be completed. The winner of the match up will face Britain's Andy Murray in the final after he managed to win his semi final in four sets despite the wind conditions.
Meanwhile the women's singles final is also set to be played on Sunday, with world No. 4 Serena Williams and No. 1 Victoria Azarenka set to take to court at 4.30 p.m. ET.
Williams has been untroubled throughout the tournament, not even losing a set so far. Azarenka has faced some tougher matches and just pulled through her tie against defending champion Samantha Stosur in a third set tie-breaker in the quarterfinals. She also scraped through a tight match against Maria Sharapova.
