Team USA lost to Japan in the World Cup final on penalty kicks last year and they will be vying for revenge. However, the United States' women's soccer team will have to keep their focus clearly on the challenge at hand and if they start looking forward to a final against Japan they may trip up against Canada.

"At this point this is the most important soccer game of our lives," said forward Abby Wambach, who has scored in each of the four U.S. games, according to the LA Times. "We have to perform. Canada is a scrappy team."

Canada would like nothing more than to defeat the United States in today's semi final, but history is not on their side. Canada has not beaten the U.S. in women's soccer for more than a decade - the last time being in 2001. That run stretches a massive 27 games. Even this year already Canada has lost to the United States twice; 4-0 in January, and 2-1 just over a month ago prior to the Olympic Games.

U.S. Coach Pia Sundhage has said, "The fact that this team has been so successful means we are able to cope with the pressure and expectation and use it in a positive way. If you look back then you gain confidence."

The game kicks off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online live through live stream by clicking here.
