Usher: Suspect Arrested in Stepson Homicide

A 39-year-old Atlanta man has been charged in the 2012 boat collision accident that killed Kile Glover, who was the former stepson of Grammy award-winning singer Usher.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard is accused of striking 11-year-old Glover with a jetski on July 6 and on Friday Jurors indicted him "for homicide by vessel in the first degree, as well as serious injury by a vessel involving a second victim, and reckless operation of a vessel," District Attorney Lee Darragh of Hall County, Georgia told CNN.

Glover and his father, Ryan Glover, were reportedly vacationing at Lake Lanier when Hubbard allegedly crashed his watercraft into the boy's raft. He suffered irreversible brain damage and was pronounced dead at a hospital on July 21.

A 15-year-old girl was later identified as being the second victim injured in the accident while riding with Glover. She was also air lifted to Egelston with Glover and reportedly suffered a broken arm and cut on the head.

Usher, 34, divorced Glover's mother Tameka Foster in 2009 after two years of marriage, and although the boy is the son of Foster's ex-husband (Ryan), Usher helped raised him for several years.

"Usher is completely devastated and shaken with what has occurred. [He] is emotionally drained from the accident. He feels incredibly awful, distraught … it's been a complete rollercoaster of emotions," a source previously told HollywoodLife.com.

In August 2012 Usher was awarded primary custody of Foster's two youngest children, Usher V, 4, and Naviyd Ely, 3.

During the court battle Foster argued that the singer was an absentee father who was constantly on the road and too absorbed in his career to care for their sons. Usher countered that Foster was an unfit mother.
