Utah Woman Arrested, Charged With Murder After 7 Babies Are Found Dead in Cardboard Boxes in Home
A 39-year-old Utah woman who police believe gave birth to six children then allegedly murdered them all was arrested Saturday after the bodies of seven infants were discovered packed in separate cardboard boxes in a home she formerly occupied.
Megan Huntsman of Pleasant Grove, Utah, was taken into police custody after she was identified as the former resident of the home where the babies were found, according to an ABC report.
A family member who now occupies the home alerted police after finding one of the babies, which "appeared to be full term," according to a police statement.

"A family member was cleaning out the garage and came across a box that looked suspicious. Upon opening the box they found the infant inside," said Capt. Michael Roberts of the Pleasant Grove Police Department.
After acquiring a search warrant for the home, police say they discovered six more infant bodies in separate containers.
Police believe that between 1996 and 2006, Huntsman gave birth to the six babies and then murdered them. Authorities arrested Huntsman and booked her at the Utah County Jail on six murder counts, but did not comment on why she was not charged with seven counts.
"It's still an ongoing case so we're working on some information we've received," Roberts said.
