They beat the Chicago Fire despite playing away from home thanks to a goal by Dillon Serna.
Next up was a 2-1 win at home against the Houston Dynamo with Vicente Sanchez and Kevin Doyle finding the back of the net.
Their most recent victory came at the expense of Sporting KC where Colorado were down 1-0 in the second half before Maynor Figueroa and Doyle scored to turn the tide around.
Meanwhile, the Whitecaps have only won once in their last three league matches.
They lost to Sporting KC in a high-scoring affair that saw the Whitecaps waste a 2-0 and 3-1 lead to allow three goals in the last 10 minutes and added time to hand Sporting the win.
Vancouver beat Dallas FC 1-0 with Cristian Techera scoring the game's only goal.
However, they would lose 2-0 to the Dynamo after goals from either half ensured they did not get any points from the match.
As for their head-to-head clashes, Colorado have won three of their last four meetings including two consecutive matches.
This should help them improve their standings while a loss could greatly hit Vancouver's attempt to close the gap against Los Angeles.
