The couple, who has been dating for two years, appeared happy and relaxed while making their way to the Fifth Church of Christ Scientist in Hollywood on Sunday. Hudgens, 25, wore a black maxi dress while her "Carrie Diaries" star boyfriend, 22, opted for khaki trousers and a denim shirt.
"He's amazing, he's like the ultimate romancer, he's so adorable," Hudgens previously told talk show host Queen Latifah of Butler.
The "High School Musical" star has been busy promoting her latest film "Gimme Shelter," which saw her land one of the biggest roles of her career. Hudgens made a remarkable transformation to portray Apple Bailey-- a homeless, pregnant 16-year-old who attempts to escape her difficult past to raise her baby.
"It's heavy but it's also really uplifting and inspiring," she said of the film.
The "Spring Break" star gained 15 pounds and chopped off her trademark brunette locks for the film, which also stars Rosario Dawson and Brendan Fraser.
"I loved looking into the mirror and seeing myself with short hair and bad skin and tattoos," she told the February issue of Nylon.
"The uglier I could make myself, the more giggly I would get on the inside," she added.
The Ron Krauss-directed film explores teen pregnancy, drugs and abuse but ultimately delivers a positive message.
"It was fun, it was really fun. Just because its so rare that you get to do that. I put on 15 pounds, ate whatever I wanted. I'm not complaining. I cut off all my hair, which really set the tone," she said. "It was such a liberating thing."
The "The Frozen Ground" star has been spotted attending fitness classes in Los Angeles in recent months as she works to get back into shape. She is undoubtedly eager to feel her best ahead of this year's Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival which begins on April 11.
"That is my main event of the year, I love it," she told late-night talk show host Chelsea Handler in January. "Like, you have to be like, super passionate about the music."
