Vanessa Hudgens Hair Cut Into 'Long Bob' (Photo)
Vanessa Hudgens drastically changed her hair once more this week, going from blue dye to blonde in a new photo posted to Twitter.
The 25-year-old actress recently debuted her blue locks via Instagram last month, but now, the "Gimme Shelter" star has swapped the vibrant color for a lighter color. Furthermore, Hudgens cut several inches from her hair, according to a post by Los Angeles hair salon Nine Zero One.
"Fresh new cut and color for #901girl @VanessaHudgens," the salon wrote in the caption along with the hashtag "#longbob."
Hudgens' "long bob" features shoulder-length hair angled so that is it longer in the front than in the back. The starlet's hair is also dyed in the trendy ombre style with dark roots gradually fading into blonde tips.
The next day, Hudgens revealed her new look by introducing her "alter ego" on her blog.
"Meet my summer alter ego, Miss Daisy," the actress wrote along with a before and after photo of her hair.
"Goodbye mermaid," Hudgens added on her website. "And then this happened @ninezeroone @nikkilee901 @riawnacapri always make me happy."
Just last month, Hudgens took on a "mermaid" persona by dying her hair blue and donning a flower crown in an Instagram post. The former Disney star shared a photo of the blue hair while quoting a line from the novel "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch.
"She would be half a planet away, floating in a turquoise sea, dancing by moonlight to flamenco guitar," Hudgens wrote in the caption of the photo.
The "Gimme Shelter" star completed the look with a large matching turquoise ring. However, the actress' hair color may be impermanent since she had just recently toyed with hair chalk.
"Well, hello hair chalk, You're fun," she wrote on Instagram in May.
Meanwhile, Hudgens joins a slew of other Hollywood starlets who have experimented with unusual hair colors recently. Ke$ha, Pink, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are each known for unusual hair colors that include entire spectrum of the rainbow. Also among them, Katy Perry went for a "slime green" look to welcome Springtime.
"I've wanted to go slime green for a long time," Perry told E! News in April. "It's spring time and I think it's time to freshen up my look. I'm really excited about slime green, but I hope my hair doesn't fall out."
