In the next episode of "Vice Principals" season 2, teasers hint that something shocking will be revealed to Russell (Walton Goggins).

HBO's "Vice Principals" is a comedy series focused on the story of its main character's attempts to become the principal of North Jackson High School.

Its primary protagonist, Neal Gamby (Danny McBride), has been a long-time vice principal of the school. However, his reputation and approach to taking over somehow repeatedly backfires and leaves him stuck in his current position in the institution.

There were only a few details revealed for the upcoming fifth episode of "Vice Principals" season 2 titled "A Compassionate Man." While the episode's title sounds innocent, the official synopsis is a bit cryptic.

According to spoilers, Russell's hope of having a blast while celebrating his birthday will be ruined. While it was understandably not elaborated how or why, it was suggested that the character will have a bad birthday celebration after learning something about his wife, Christine's (Susan Park), boyfriend in college.

Meanwhile, in the 30-second teaser video for episode 5, HBO also did not give any detail on what shocking revelation would ruin Russell's birthday party. However, by the end of the preview, he was shown being extremely surprised upon seeing something that he never expected to witness when he entered a room in his house during the festivities.

As for Gamby, attending Russell's birthday party will come with some difficulties. First, he cannot find a proper "plus one" to bring to the event. Ms. Abbott would certainly be thrilled to be his date, but instead, Gamby asked a random kid to go with him. He then got rejected hard and Russell's birthday bash was called a "stupid pedo party."

At the actual party, Russell pressured Gamby to make North Jackson's English teacher, Amanda Snodgrass (Georgia King), stop moping. Gamby agreed to the idea and grabbed Ms. Abbott to dance right beside Amanda and her partner at the dance floor. However, the trailer showed that Amanda was seemingly unaffected.

"Vice Principals" airs every Sunday at 10:30 p.m. EDT on HBO.
