'Vikings' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Will Rollo Go To Valhalla In The Next Season?
There's only a handful of weeks remaining before the highly-anticipated fourth season of History Channel's hit historical action-drama TV series "Vikings" premieres on the small screens.
To pump up the excitement among the fans, the network released the trailer for the upcoming season via its YouTube Channel.
For those who were able to catch the San Diego Comic-Con trailer, they might find out that the clip featured the same scenes. For those who missed it, the highlight reel showed the return of the dreaded Northmen on Paris. From the looks of it, they appeared to be even more eager to continue their campaign in subjugating what has been called the impenetrable city.
Also shown is Aslaug's (Alyssa Sutherland) apparent interest in taking the helm to rule her husband's kingdom. Rollo (Clive Standen) appears to be quite comfortable with his life in the foreign land that he is now more than willing to let go of his Viking heritage and embrace the new culture.
Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) continues to struggle with Kalf (Ben Robson) in getting control of Hedeby, the territory she got from her deceased husband. Other intense scenes also show the consequences that Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) has to face for murdering King Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) best friend.
Among the many interesting snippets from the lengthy clip is Princess Gisela's (Morgane Polanski) attempt to kill Rollo.
Her hatred towards the invader seems a bit understandable given the fact that she was made to marry the person at the command of her father, the Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau). Will the monarch finally get her revenge on the Viking? Will her actions affect the pact that is being made between her kingdom and that of the Northeners?
"Vikings" Season 4 will reportedly return with 20 brand new episodes. The show premieres on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10/9c on History Channel.
