'Vikings' Season 6 Spoilers: Ivar To Lose Power After Season 5?

Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) will have a major makeover when "Vikings" return for season 6.

The production for the sixth installment of The History Channel's historical drama already began more than a month before the premiere of "Vikings" season 5, but reports revealed that new images from the set already gave a hint of what could be in store for the remaining Norsemen in Kattegat.

Based on the photo posted from one of the extras on the set, the wisest but crippled son of the late Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) will shed his usual black wardrobe in exchange for neutral-colored clothes that are normally worn by farmers during those times.

This could mean that something might have happened in season 5 that could have uprooted Ivar and his brothers from the leadership seat in Kattegat. Ragnar's sons may no longer have the throne by the time the series moves forward in season 6.

Another photo showed what the extras will wear in the show's upcoming season, but fans shared on Reddit that the clothes were not the usual wardrobe worn by Vikings in Kattegat. This could mean that the story will be brought to another land that will be explored by the remaining characters of the series.

Some fans were speculating that the series will center on the events in Russia in season 6, but others pointed out that the story could take place in Ireland.

"I thought it was Russia but had hoped it might be Ireland. The thing that gets me about Hirst is that he knows the history of these characters but seems to try to ignore most of it on purpose. Do we know if Ivar and Hvitserk are still working together for sure or if Hvitserk is with Bjorn now," one of the fans asked in the forum.

Details about "Vikings" season 6 are still under wraps, but fans have to wait until the show returns on The History Channel for season 5 on Wednesday, Nov. 29 to know more about the series.
