Vince Young 'Looking Forward' to Playing With Bills; Fans React
Vince Young, 28-year-old free-agent quarterback, will sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, it was revealed Friday.
Young reportedly agreed to sign a $2 million contract with the Bills, according to ESPN. The quarterback is expected to join the team on Monday, after working out with them since the beginning of the month.
Last season, the veteran quarterback played with the Philadelphia Eagles where he seemed to struggle in six games, throwing 866 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions. Young's stats reflect that 2011 was one of his worst years performing, after he had a career-low passing rate of 60.8.

The veteran quarterback was revered when he came in the league during the 2006 NFL draft in which he was selected third overall by the Tennessee Titans. Young became the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year when he entered the league, and managed to earn a spot on the AFC Pro Bowl team.
In 2009, Young managed to earn another Pro Bowl spot and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year by "Sporting News." Still, he left Tennessee after five seasons.
After a short stint with the Eagles under a one-year contract, many seemed to believe Young's career move was a smart one for the veteran who will turn 29 next week. Skip Bayless, ESPN sports personality known for his strong opinions about athletes, said Young will start for the Bills and cause them to move up in their division.
"Vince Young eventually will be starting quarterback of the Bills, who'll start causing problems in [the] AFC East," Baylesss tweeted.
Fans of the Bills seemed to be happy with their new addition and the possibilities that he could bring.
"Welcome to Buffalo Vince Young," one fan tweeted.
Others were equally supportive saying, "Good for him. Just keep swimming/winning."
Young took to his own Twitter account to thank all involved in the deal that would bring him to the Bills.
"I have always respected the Bills organization and am looking forward to being a part of the team. I am looking forward to playing with the guys and helping where I am needed," Young tweeted. "Thanks to Buddy Nix and Coach Gailey for giving me the opportunity to come in and play and compete. Let's go ball out."
