'Voltron Legendary Defender' Season 4 Release Date, Trailer News: Sneak Peek Reveals Stronger Coalition To Fight Against The Galrans Next Season
The first trailer for "Voltron Legendary Defender" season 4 has been released.
In the sneak peek that was posted by Entertainment Weekly, the intergalactic war between the five space pilots who call themselves as the Paladins and the evil Galra Empire continues. This means that the coalition should reunite so they can successfully defend the universe from Galra's wicked plans.
The trailer showed the Paladin pilots Shiro (Josh Keaton), Pidge (Bex Taylor-Klaus), Keith (Steven Yeun), Lance (Jeremy Shada), Hunk (Tyler Labine), Coran (Rhys Darby) and Princess Allura (Kimberly Brooks) while in the middle of an intense fight against their nemesis Lotor (A.J. Locascio) and his father Zarkon (Neil Kaplan).
Showrunner Joaquim Dos Santos sat down with the publication to talk about what fans should look forward to when the new episodes of the animated series return to Netflix next month.
According to Dos Santos, the Paladins, Princess Allura, and Coran will be the alone in their fight with the Galrans at the beginning of the season.
"Now, it's growing and it's kind of getting to this fever pitch. This whole time Lotor is forwarding his plans," the showrunner stated. "So, we're sort of seeing the next evolution of the series where the legend of Voltron has gone out into the universe now and it's amassing an army, a coalition against Lotor."
On the other hand, Dos Santos' co-showrunner Lauren Montgomery also hinted that fans will finally get to see more of the rest of the universe after the first two seasons of the series focused on the stories of the Paladins.
Also, Montgomery teased that Allura will play a major role in "Voltron Legendary Defender" season 4 since she is already considered as a Paladin. However, she will initially struggle with her new tasks at first.
Netflix will drop all the new episodes of "Voltron Legendary Defender" season 4 on Friday, Oct. 13.
