'Walking Dead' Season 6 spoilers: A tangle of relationships. Will it be Rick and Michonne or Morgan and Michonne?

It is difficult to visualize romance in the walker-filled world of "The Walking Dead." Is it time to put some 'relationships' into the season and see what comes up? Are Rick and Michonne going to find love? Or will Michonne develop feelings for Morgan like what happens in the comics? Although, most fans do want something between Rick and Michonne.

When asked about this intriguing relationship, "Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple almost hinted that, yes, it might be possible. He spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and said, "They're really, really intimate. They have done things for each other that's familial or deep, deep, deep friendship."

He adds, "The fact that they reached that bedroom in Alexandria when they had that conversation where Rick admitted that he had a gun and was going to give it to her. I think they have an incredibly intimate relationship right now. Where that goes, who knows? I think there's something to be said about those two characters' journeys right now."

Since the group found shelter in the Alexandria Safe Zone, it might be possible that a relationship finally happens between Rick and Michonne. This would mean deviating hugely from the comic book adaptation.

In the comic books, it is the character of Andrea who becomes close to Rick and they become lovers. However, since she is not in "The Walking Dead" Season 6, it would be a task to bring her back.

Also, in the comics, Morgan, who comes back and meets Rick in the Alexandria Safe Zone, has a sexual relationship with Michonne. However, in the TV show, both characters don't take to each other. Michonne in her limited screen time with Morgan seemed to not like Morgan or thought that he was kind of weird. But now that Morgan is back, maybe a relationship could develop between Morgan and Michonne.

However, fans are most interested as to what will happen now that both Rick and Morgan are in Alexandria. Fans are also eager to know Morgan's backstory. As of now, it would seem the season would harp more on the Rick-Morgan friendship rather than romance, amongst the superb action that has been promised in Season 6 of "The Walking Dead."

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 premieres on October 11 on AMC.
