Washington Capitals vs New York Rangers Live Stream, Start Time: Watch NHL Stanley Cup 2015 Online
Teams are tied 1-1 after the first two games of the series.
As the scene shifts to the nation's capital, the Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers are tied in the series as they play at the Verizon Center for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.
The match is on May 4, 2015 at 7:30 PM ET.
In the first game at Madison Square Garden, Washington took an unlikely series lead after winning 2-1.
Alex Ovechkin fired a bullet that beat Henrik Lundqvist in the closing minutes of the first period to give the Capitals an early lead.
New York tried to find a tying goal but had to wait until the final five minutes of the third period as Jesper Fast scored his first goal of the post-season to level things at 1-1.
And with things looking like the two teams were headed to overtime, Joel Ward scored a goal with only two seconds left in the game.
Ovechkin was battling for the puck and somehow found Ward who was right in front of Lundqvist's stick side and shot the puck between the goalies' legs for the win.
Trying to get back in the series, New York started Game 2 very aggressively and were rewarded with an early goal from Chris Kreider. He converted in just 38 seconds to give the Rangers the lead.
Dan Boyle doubled their lead with a power-play goal in the 16th minute of the game, giving the Rangers some breathing space after the first period.
Washington finally got one back when Evgeny Kuznetsov beat Lundqvist in the 14th minute and trimmed the lead to one heading into the final period.
In the third, Derick Brassard scored his fourth of the post-season to bring the lead back up to two goals which the Capitals could not overcome, even with Ovechkin scoring in the 11th minute.
Now that the Capitals are heading home, they will have the distinct advantage and should look to regain the series lead.
