Washington Redskins Trade News 2015: Redskins sign Frank Kearse

As the season continues, teams try and make small moves to help their roster play its best – and the Washington Redskins are no exception.
Heading into week 3, the Redskins sport a 1-1 record and are facing the New York Giants for Thursday Night Football.
They started off with a 17-10 loss at home to the Miami Dolphins, but responded by thrashing the St. Louis Rams 24-10 to record their first win of the season.

Playing their first road game of the regular season, it has been reported that Washington have waived cornerback David Amerson and signed free agent defensive end Frank Kearse.
Already playing in his fifth year as a professional, Kearse played his first two seasons with the Carolina Panthers before playing only two games in the 2013 season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Last year, he was with the Redskins and played 15 games, recording 12 solo tackles for the season.
He is an excellent addition in the defense of the Redskins who will look to control their opponents starting with the Giants.
As for Amerson, the 23-year-old cornerback was deemed surplus to the needs of the Redskins resulting in him getting cut.
He was drafted by Washington in 2013 as the 51st pick and has a career total of 111 tackles as of week 2 of this season.
With him being waived by the Redskins, the Hawaii-born player was immediately picked up by the Oakland Raiders as the team also continues their redevelopment.
Kearse is expected to feature against the Giants and will have four more game weeks before reaching their bye week. In those four weeks they are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After their bye week, they travel to face the defending champions, the New England Patriots.
