They lead the Atlantic Division with a 22-15 record and are trying to hold off challenges from rivals the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
Meanwhile, the Wizards are struggling as they are at 15-18 at the moment to find themselves last in the Southeast Division.
The two teams are scheduled to meet four times in the regular season and at the moment, they have clashed twice – with Toronto getting the victories in close battles.
In their first meeting, the Wizards got to an early lead thanks to a good first quarter when they held the Raptors to only 16 points in the quarter.
When they clashed in the second and third, things were pretty even as the lead was steadily held by the Wizards.
However, the Raptors fought back and cut the lead to a single point before Cory Joseph gave them the big victory as he shot a three-pointer at the buzzer to help Toronto win 84-82.
In the second game, it was also close when it started but the Raptors got to a double-digit lead at half-time.
They kept the lead in the third quarter and withstood a run by the Wizards in the fourth quarter to hang on to the 94-91 victory.
John Wall had 19 points and 11 assists, while DeMar DeRozan had 34 points for the Raptors.
