'Watch Dogs 2' News: YourBoySerge Sniper Rifle Significantly Nerfed By Title Update 1.09

Issue related to world map exploit also addressed by latest 'Watch Dogs 2' title update

"Watch Dogs 2" features one specific weapon that has apparently proven to be quite powerful, perhaps overly so, which is why developers have now nerfed it significantly via the recently released Title Update 1.09.

The weapon in question is none other than the .50 Cal sniper rifle known better to players as YourBoySerge.

According to the Wiki entry for the aforementioned sniper rifle, it is among the most damaging weapons inside the game, and on top of that, it also utilizes armor-piercing bullets that serve to turn it into an even more effective weapon.

Since YourBoySerge does seem to be too powerful, developers are now trying to make it fit better inside the game by nerfing it.

Developers have opted to nerf the sniper rifle not by scaling back its damage output, but by instead reducing the number of magazine rounds it can hold from six to one, according to a recent post on the game's official website.

Notably, developers have indicated that they will continue to monitor how "Watch Dogs 2" players use YourBoySerge, so there may still be other tweaks applied to it later on.

Aside from the YourBoySerge nerf, the recently rolled out Title Update 1.09 also fixes an issue that could previously allow players to make use of a world map exploit in order to find invaders.

Title Update 1.09 is currently available for the PlayStation 4 port of the game, while PC and Xbox One players will have to wait just a bit longer before it is released for their preferred platforms.

It's not just Title Update 1.09 that PC and Xbox One players can look forward to seeing soon, as the "T-Bone Content Bundle" is also set to be made available for those aforementioned platforms on Jan. 24.

More details regarding the other new additions coming to "Watch Dogs 2" should be made available soon.
