Watch How People React When Strangers Call Them Beautiful
How does it feel to be called beautiful? What is it like to have someone you may not even know say to you that you are beautiful just the way you look?
For Shea Glover it began as an independent project at an arts school in Chicago. However it eventually became what she described as a "social experiment."
Some of those she filmed were people she knew, but most were not. She simply told them that she wanted to film them because she was looking to film things that were beautiful.
Those labeled beautiful included people of differing shapes, skin colors, and pimple counts. Some wore glasses, others had countercultural hairstyles.
Uploaded to YouTube back in May, the social experiment has garnered much attention online, including over 6.5 million views and 70,000+ likes.
Want to get a dosage of feel-good? Want to see the many ways that people can display beauty? Then check out this pleasant moving independent project.
