Watch NBA Playoffs Online: Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors
Memphis bounced back in Game 2 to tie the series 1-1.
Proving that they're more than just a stepping stone for the Golden State Warriors, the Memphis Grizzlies play as hosts in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals of the NBA Playoffs.
The match is on May 9, 2015 at 8:00 PM ET at the FedExForum.
Golden State blew away the Grizzlies in the first game 101-86, leading to most that they would not be challenged on their way to the West Finals.
In that game, Stephen Curry had a game-high 22 points and shot 50% from beyond the arc. He also had seven assists and four steals as he dominated the guard spot as Memphis played without their floor general Mike Conley.
Curry's "Splash Brother" Klay Thompson had 18 points while Draymond Green joined in on the shooting affair with 16 of his own.
Meanwhile, Zach Randolph had 20 points and Marc Gasol led Memphis with 21 but clearly missed the presence of Conley as the team only shot 25% from the three point line.
However, Game 2 was a different story as Conley made his return from fracturing bones in his face in the prior series.
Donning a mask, he led the inspired Grizzlies with 22 points and hitting clutch shots to help them win 97-90.
Even more, the Grizzlies shut down Thompson as they limited him to just 13 points and only hitting one of his six attempts from the three point line.
Tony Allen played a big game for the Grizzlies, despite only scoring nine points. He had four steals and was a man possessed as he defended the perimeter for Memphis and frustrated the league's best shooting team.
And as they now play the next two games at home, Memphis seem to have the blueprint to beat the league's Most Valuable Player.
