Watch Sister Cristina Scuccia Sing 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' in a 'Voice of Italy' Battle (VIDEO)
Sister Cristina Scuccia made a worldwide splash last month with her blind audition performance of Alicia Keys's "No One" on Italy's "The Voice." Now the 25-year-old from Sicily is back to battle contestant Luna Palumbo, 23, in a sing-off of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. The two singers were both selected by rapper J-Ax during blind auditions.
As Scuccia and Palumbo trade lines, it's a close contest between two distinct voices – Palumbo's gritty growl vs. Scuccia's belting. But when the last note hits, I think the battle is won.
During the feedback, judge Noemi shares how she appreciates how God has been brought into the competition through Sister Cristina's presence.
"I am a believer and I think that having brought God in here, it's extraordinary, because nowadays we do miss the spirituality," the Italian singer-songwriter says.
