Watch Tacko Fall, the 7-Foot-5 High School Basketballer Who's Taller Than Every Player in the NBA (VIDEO)
Even if you're not a basketball fan, video of 7-foot-5 Tacko Fall, a junior at Liberty Christian Prep in Tavares, Fla., is something to behold. He stands 9 inches taller than LeBron James and 1 1/2 inches taller than Oklahoma City Thunder center Hasheem Thabeet, the tallest player in the NBA.
In these highlights, defenders have no chance of stopping Fall when he gets the ball at the rim. However, he's a work in progress, averaging 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, a surprisingly low stat line for someone of his size. It's understandable, though, given that Fall emigrated here from Senegal with essentially no basketball experience.
Despite any high hopes observers have for him in hoops, he's not putting all his eggs in that one, um, basket.
"I'm hoping to play professional basketball," Fall told the Orlando Sentinel. "But at the same time I want to be a biochemist."
