'Watch the Throne 2,' Sequel Confirmed by Kanye West Engineer

Long time associates Jay-Z and Kanye West teamed up last year to release one of the most critically acclaimed and highest selling hip-hop albums, titled "Watch the Throne." Now, it seems the two rappers are planning a sequel.

Mike Dean, Kanye West's primary engineer, recently spoke to Quiet Launch about the existence of the project and revealed that a "Throne" sequel is coming.

"I'm working on the G.O.O.D. Music album of course," said Dean. "I'm working on Watch the Throne 2, which is not started yet, but that's coming."

Dean also recounted some of the artists he worked with in the past, and explained which ones he liked best and why he liked them.

Among these was Tupac Shakur, who was recently depicted as a hologram at this year's Coachella music festival.

"[Who I've enjoyed working with the most is] Scarface, Kanye, Z-Ro in Houston and 'Pac, of course," he said. "I didn't work with [Pac] that much, but he was dope to work with … I did that Scarface 'Smile' stuff with him and then we hung out in the studio for a few days, right before [The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory] came out."

And during that time Dean got to hear something very special from Tupac.

"Me and Scarface got to hear the uncensored Makaveli album before they took out all the references to Suge Knight and stuff," he continued. "It was great."

Knight, who was driving the car that Shakur was gunned down in on the Las Vegas strip, was also the head of Death Row Records, the record label the rapper was signed to just before he passed away.

Many blame Knight for Shakur's controversial and sudden death.

Shakur signed to his label in order to escape his jail sentence. Knight posted his bail the two went on to release music together in 1996.
