WCC/MECC Hold Inter-religious Workshop for Peace

The World Council of Churches and the Middle East Council of Churches will hold an Inter-religious youth workshop for peace in Bekfaya, Lebanon, bringing together young Christians and Muslims from the Middle East region that wish to build a common vision of peace and non-violent action. The four-day workshop, slated for Jan 30, 2004, is part of the WCC’s Decade to Overcome Violence initiative. The participants will be encouraged to discuss educational alternatives to violence, including training in dialogue and reconciliation.
